QOYA EARTH REVERANCE & GRATITUDE RITUAL

  • Ritual Sacramento (map)

Qoya‌ ‌Class with Gratitude‌ ‌Ritual. Theme: ‌Earth‌ ‌Reverence‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ For‌ ‌those‌ ‌who‌ ‌are‌ ‌new‌ ‌to‌ ‌Qoya,‌ ‌Qoya‌ ‌is‌ ‌based‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ ‌idea‌ ‌that‌ ‌through‌ ‌movement,‌ ‌we‌ ‌remember‌ ‌our‌ ‌essence.‌ ‌We‌ ‌remember‌ ‌our‌ ‌essence‌ ‌is‌ ‌wise,‌ ‌wild‌ ‌and‌ ‌free.‌ ‌Wise,‌ ‌wild‌ ‌and‌ ‌free‌ ‌also‌ ‌draw‌ ‌reference‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌movement‌ ‌forms‌ ‌that‌ ‌we‌ ‌do‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌class:‌ ‌wise‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌wisdom‌ ‌of‌ ‌yoga;‌ ‌wild,‌ ‌the‌ ‌authentic‌ ‌expression‌ ‌of‌ ‌dance;‌ ‌free,‌ ‌expanding‌ ‌our‌ ‌capacity‌ ‌to‌ ‌enjoy‌ ‌being‌ ‌in‌ ‌our‌ ‌bodies‌ ‌through‌ ‌pleasurable‌ ‌movement.‌ ‌An‌ ‌important‌ ‌aspect‌ ‌of‌ ‌Qoya‌ ‌is‌ ‌that‌ ‌there’s‌ ‌no‌ ‌way‌ ‌you‌ ‌can‌ ‌do‌ ‌it‌ ‌wrong,‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌way‌ ‌you‌ ‌know‌ ‌you’re‌ ‌doing‌ ‌it‌ ‌right‌ ‌is‌ ‌that‌ ‌it‌ ‌feels‌ ‌right‌ ‌in‌ ‌your‌ ‌body.‌ ‌In‌ ‌many‌ ‌ways,‌ ‌Qoya‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌path‌ ‌of‌ ‌self‌ ‌initiation‌ ‌and‌ ‌a‌ ‌practice‌ ‌of‌ ‌inner‌ ‌validation.‌ ‌ ‌ We‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌dancing‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌theme‌ ‌of‌ ‌Earth‌ ‌Reverence. It is said that as humans we are children of the earth. In this class we will dance with our relationship to Mother Earth, offer our gratitude, and notice if through honoring the Earth, the Collective, and our interconnectivity we can enhance our experience on the planet right now. Please‌ ‌note‌ ‌there‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌invitations‌ ‌for‌ ‌journaling‌ ‌and‌ ‌going‌ ‌into‌ ‌break‌ ‌out‌ ‌rooms‌ ‌to‌ ‌share‌ ‌with‌ ‌ partners‌ ‌to‌ ‌connect‌ ‌and‌ ‌strengthen‌ ‌our‌ ‌community‌ ‌connection.‌ ‌If‌ ‌you’d‌ ‌rather‌ ‌not‌ ‌share,‌ ‌you‌ ‌can‌ ‌enjoy‌ ‌some‌ ‌extra‌ ‌time‌ ‌for‌ ‌journaling‌ ‌to‌ ‌self-reflection.‌ ‌ After‌ ‌class,‌ ‌for‌ ‌those‌ ‌who‌ ‌would‌ ‌like‌ ‌to‌ ‌remain,‌ ‌will‌ ‌gather‌ ‌for‌ ‌a‌ ‌gratitude‌ ‌ceremony‌ ‌to‌ ‌give‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌earth.‌ ‌ We‌ ‌recommend‌ ‌that‌ ‌each‌ ‌person‌ ‌who‌ ‌wishes‌ ‌to‌ ‌attend‌ ‌the‌ ‌gratitude‌ ‌ritual‌ ‌prepare‌ ‌by‌ ‌gathering‌ ‌a‌ ‌few‌ ‌earth‌ ‌friendly‌ ‌biodegradable‌ ‌offerings‌ ‌like‌ ‌rocks,‌ ‌flowers,‌ ‌etc.‌ ‌or‌ ‌if‌ ‌you‌ ‌are‌ ‌able‌ ‌to‌ ‌make‌ ‌a‌ ‌ ceremonial‌ ‌fire,‌ ‌you‌ ‌can‌ ‌gather‌ ‌things‌ ‌like‌ ‌sugar,‌ ‌corn,‌ ‌lentils,‌ ‌beans,‌ ‌etc.‌ ‌Listen‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌land‌ ‌where‌ ‌you‌ ‌live‌ ‌as‌ ‌you‌ ‌ask‌ ‌what‌ ‌offerings‌ ‌the‌ ‌land‌ ‌you‌ ‌are‌ ‌connected‌ ‌to‌ ‌would‌ ‌like‌ ‌to‌ ‌receive.‌ ‌ ‌
